We weren’t born yesterday
Built Well wasn’t born yesterday. It was founded as Built Well Corporation in 2003, a Long Island general home improvement contractor, after its sister company, Built Well Solar Corp., was founded in 2001, whose focus was on designing and installing solar energy systems on Long Island for 25 years.

In light of the recent restructuring of the nation’s solar industry itself, including changes in federal tax regulations and overall market maturity and consolidation, we've decided to focus on helping Long Islanders with maintaining existing solar energy systems. Whether Built Well Solar installed your system or another company did, we're here to help. We even set up a special "Solar Help Desk" (more about this later) .

Built Well Corporation assigns the design and installation of new solar energy systems to our highly selective solar installation providers and master electricians. We cherry-pick these providers for their established solar experience and quality workmanship. We have worked with them, know them personally and professionally. We trust them. We work together with them still since Built Well provides system maintenance services on these new systems, just as we do for the thousands of systems Built Well Solar installed over the past 25 years.

Protect your existing solar energy system! We will inspect your PV system to ensure that it's operating at its best.
Our team will:

Conduct a thorough hour-long inspection & we will immediately fix any basic issues, such as wire management or other minor fine tuning within that hour, for a very reasonable fee.

Identify any significant wear & tear, damage or possible issues.

Provide a report detailing recommended action, if needed, which will include a proposal/ estimate for any recommended repairs or replacements and a proposal/estimate for Solar Critter Stop if you need this to protect your investment against squirrels, pigeons or other critters.

Solar Panel Cleaning

Solar panels usually remain fairly clean on Long Island rinsed off by way of rainfall and snow, but pollen, leaves and other airborne residue build up over time as systems age.
We provide professional solar panel cleaning because it's essential that this be done properly by trained solar technicians under proper weather conditions, not by general power-washer contractors or random laborers who may damage or even crack the panels.

Suddenly squirrels, pigeons and other pests are nesting under solar panels across Long Island as never before. They find the space under solar panels to be a cozy home, but they are not just a nuisance. They bring with them disease and noise, and often cause significant damage to solar energy system functioning.
Squirrels chew on wiring and damage solar energy systems. Pigeons leave filthy droppings and suffusive nests that interfere with system functioning and are just plain unsightly and unhealthy. Other critters, including raccoons and possums, have also been known to wreak havoc.
